The NHRC is pleases to share Issue 2 and 3 of its Newsletter, highlighting significant events and activities from April to September 2025. This edition features key initiatives including the National Interfaith Dialogue aimed at combating hate speech and promoting religious tolerance, discussions on the link between climate change and human rights, human interest stories illustrating the devastating impact of climate change on individuals and communities, efforts to tackle corruption through a human rights-based approach, engagement between right holders and duty bearers, our work with children and the promotion of human rights in schools, engagement with the security and other pressing human rights issues.

This edition of the NHRC Newsletter captures key activities and events from January to March 2025 including the Commission's call for the ratification of the OPCAT, training of NHRC Commissioners and Staff on Human Rights Monitoring, training of law enforcement officers, the Commission's position on the denial of Gambians in the diaspora the right to vote, and other human rights and human interest stories.

Issue 3 and 4 highlight significant events and activities from July to December 2024. This edition covers key initiatives such as the National Convergence on the Draft Constitution 2024, the National Dialogue on Mental Health, discussions on the rights of Older Persons, the 5th Edition of the SDKJ International Moot Court Competition, specialized training sessions for various security units, the Mobile Legal Aid Clinic and other pressing human rights issues.

Issue 2 captures interesting milestone in the work of the Commission including its 5th Anniversary, Launch of the Annual Activity Report and State of Human Rights Reports, the Commission's position on the proposed repeal of the Women's (Amendment) Act 2015, NHRC's first appearance at the FPAC and a wide range of human rights issues.

Issue 1 covers key activities that were conducted from January to December 2024.

The Seventh Edition of the NHRC Newsletter consist of series of activities conducted by the Commission between the months of June and August 2023.
