Any person or organization can bring a complaint before the Commission for the purpose of exercising its functions of protecting and promoting human rights. Where necessary, an individual may lodge a complaint on behalf of another person or organization.
How to file a complaint?
A complaint of a human rights violation may be lodged at the Commission’s head office in Kotu or any other place as the Commission may determine.
Complaints of a human rights violation to the Commission may also be made through the Commission’s website (link).
A complaint or allegation of a human rights violation may also be made to the Commission via letters or emails properly addressed to any of the Commissioners, Executive Secretary or staff member of the Legal Department of the Commission.
Any complaint addressed to the Commissioners or Executive Secretary shall be transmitted to the legal department for consideration.
